Dataset
To provide a better understanding of impact of large scale infrastructure interventions to the Tanzania government, Millennium Challenge Corporation and other relevant water stakeholders.
MCC’s $695 million Tanzania Compact (2008-2013) funded the $39.9 million Lower Ruvu Plant Expansion Activity in Dar es Salaam, which was part of the $54.6 million Water Sector Project (WSP). The activity increased water production by 50% with the plant producing 270 million liters per day (MLD)
The data contains various individual household parameters like marital status, piped systems (whether one has tap within his or her premise), storage, lessons learnt from the large infrastructure projects and other key parameters on water supply and expansion
The data was obtain through individual household surveys, remote sensing of water supply, sample water quality tests, site visits, administrative data sources and in-depth focus group discussions.
