Dataset
To determine how poverty influence the access to safe drinking water in Uganda.
About 3.2 million people live in 323 rural sub-counties with safe drinking water coverage rates below 60%, close to Uganda's 2009 national rural average of 65%. This map, from Mapping a Healthier Future shows the poverty rates for these sub-counties, all of which require additional investments to catch up with national progress. By targeting areas with high poverty and low coverage rates, planners could help sub-counties with multiple deprivations first: high levels of monetary poverty and high dependence on unsafe drinking water sources.
This study contain: poverty levels (high to low), access to safe drinking water, safe drinking water coverage, rural areas id, and level of monetary poverty.
Household surveys and monitoring.
