To provide dekadal (every 10 days) actual Evapotranspiration and Interception in Africa and Near East.
The WaPOR project aims to assist partner countries in developing their capacity to monitor and improve water and land productivity in agriculture, both rainfed and irrigated, responding therefore to the challenges that are posed by the dwindling of freshwater resources and the need to sustain agricultural production to ensure food security in the face of a changing climate.
The data contains every 10 days interval Evapotranspiration and Interception (ETIa) in Africa and the near East from 2009-2020.
Data was collected using remote sensing. New dekadal data layers are released approximately 5 days after the end of a dekad. A higher quality version of the same data layer is uploaded after 6 dekads have passed.
