Dataset Objective

To show the percentage of national ocean science expenditure as a share of total research and development funding.

Context

It covers the period of 2013 to 2017. This dataset is part of the Global SDG Indicator database compiled through the UN System in preparation for the Secretary-General's annual report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

What is included

This dataset contains 34 records with the percentage of national ocean science expenditure share of total research and development funding for different countries. Data also entails the sustainable development goal code, goal label, description, target code, target description, global locations, geographic area name and code, parent geographic area name, geographic area type, earliest and latest years, available years, among other attributes.

Collection Methods

Data was collected from government agencies records and supplemented by satellite images.
