Dataset Objective

To identify the intensity and frequency of food insecurity and hotspot areas that have experienced consecutive food insecurity events.

Based on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), food insecurity is defined as Minimal, Stressed, Crisis, Emergency, and Famine.

This dataset entails frequency of drought, duration of famines, famine intensity, geographical location, and year of famine occurence.
