Dataset Objective

To map out groundwater sources and surface water sources in Ocotepeque-Citala Aquifer.

Context

Data is collected within the framework of the Governance of Groundwater Resources in Transboundary Aquifers (GGRETA) project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

What is included

Dataset consists of water quantity and water quality of boreholes, dug wells, springs and surface water intake points in the transboundary. Water quality test consists of: sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron and PH level in water.

Collection Methods

Data is obtained through satellite imagery, monitoring and water quality tests.
