Dataset Objective

To show the quantity of groundwater derived by different nations in millions of cubic meters per annum.

Context

This dataset is part of the Global SDG Indicator database compiled through the UN System in preparation for the Secretary-General's annual report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. It covers 2017 only.

What is included

This dataset contains the sustainable development goal code, goal label, description, target code, target description, global locations, geographic area name and code, parent geographic area name, geographic area type, earliest and latest years, available years, and the quantity of groundwater in Million of cubic meters per annum generated for different nations.

Collection Methods

Data was collected using groundwater monitoring and remote sensing.
