Organic and inorganic groundwater hydrochemical data from urban and peri-urban Kabwe in Zambia. Tracer data comprising CFC and SF6, pathogens and GCMS scan results are included for a subset of the sites. Data was collected in the dry and wet season.

Dataset Objective

To characterize urban and peri-urban groundwater pollution in a growing town in the copper-belt region of Zambia.

Context

Data was collected as part of the UPGro catalyst project and deposited by the British Geological Survey.

What is included

Data contains the field chemistry, major and minor ions (ICP-MS and IC) and nutrients (TDP, SRP, NH4, DOC, C-DOM) for samples collected in the wet and dry season.

Collection Methods

Data was collected through sample water quality testing and analysis.
