To provide infant mortality rates estimates that can be used in interdisciplinary studies of health, poverty and the environment.
Dataset consist of Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) estimates for 234 countries and territories, 143 of which include subnational Units. The data are benchmarked to the year 2015 (Version 1 was benchmarked to the year 2000), drawn from national offices, and demographic and health Surveys
This dataset entails underweight rates, infant mortality rates, country code, land area, lattitude, longitude, population count, and sequence id number for each quarter-degree grid cell.
