This experimental dataset was collected to test whether experimental games can measure collective action and strengthen collective action for managing shared groundwater in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Dataset was produced by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and the study was conducted by the Foundation for Ecological Security and Jana Jagriti.
Data contains the individual survey variables (demographic characteristics), domestic water consumption and participants’ mental models about the interactions between resource dynamics, group goals, and private interests.
