To assess the functionality of water points, water coverage figures, test the local groundwater conditions, forecast future rural water supply coverage and develop an approach for building resilience into future rural water supply programs and helping people decide when it is worth rehabilitating failed sources.
The study was conducted in Uganda and Malawi from 1 May 2015 to 31 October 2015.
Data contains water governance's social embeddedness, challenges, and water functionality.
Data was collected through sample participatory mapping, transect walks, seasonal calendars, focus groups and interviews.
