Dataset Objective

To show the proportion of transboundary river and lake basins with an operational arrangement for water cooperation.

Context

This dataset covers the period of 2017 to 2020. This dataset is part of the Global SDG Indicator database compiled through the UN System in preparation for the Secretary-General's annual report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

What is included

Data contains the sustainable development goal code, goal label, description, target code, target description, global locations, geographic area name and code, parent geographic area name, geographic area type, earliest and latest years, available years, and the percentages of the transboundary river and lake basins with an operational arrangement for water cooperation for different regions.

Collection Methods

This data was collected from government records and multilateral agencies supplemented by satellite images.
