Dataset Objective

To provide the list of all ponds, dams and water tanks controlled by the Jordan Valley Authority.

Context

The database enlists 363 sites related to Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) interventions, divided in three categories: dams, tanks and ponds.

What is included

Data contains the latitude and longitude coordinates of the dams, ponds and water tanks, names, area, id offer call, offer call types, year of establishment, storage capacity, the funding organization and other relevant notes.

Collection Methods

This dataset was collected using satellite images and supplemented by the records from the Dam Department of the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ).
