Dataset Objective

To assess the landslide susceptibility and landslide processes and preconditioning.

Context

The study was funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Grant NE/L002582/1 and data was deposited by Plymouth University. Data covers the period of 1988 - 2018. However, the years 2011 and 2012 are missing due to scan line errors in Landsat 7 imagery.

What is included

Data contains the 12838 landslide locations, perimeters (Length field), areas and pre-/post- monsoon season satellite image dates used to map each landslide that occurred across a ~45,000 km2 region of central-eastern Nepal.

Collection Methods

Data was collected through field mapping and remote sensing.
