To provide data on administrative boundaries for Māori Lands
These areas include both Māori freehold lands and Māori customary lands.
The dataset contains names of Māori and customary Lands, the status of their legal recognition, their names, shape length, shape area, global identification, and area covered in hectares.
The dataset was obtained from the Native Lands Act documents, government registry, and satellite imagery.
