To show the carbon emissions associated with peat drainage in Indonesia and Malaysia from plantation establishment.
The dataset contains emission factors for oil palm, acacia, and other species per hectares and per year from plantation establishment in Malaysia and Indonesia.
The dataset was collected using IPCC Tier 1 methods to estimate annual CO2 emissions, information from the overlap between regions mapped of plantations in 2013-14 and mapped locations of peatlands.This information was obtained from the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, 2011 for Indonesia, Wetlands International, 2004 for Malaysia and Transparent World, 2015.
