Dataset Objective

To provide a land cover dataset at the continental scale is based on the Copernicus Global Land cover map.

Context

Map is a depiction of global hydrological basins and actual evapotranspiration and interception

What is included

The dataset contains cropland rainfed, grassland areas, permanent snows, tree cover, water bodies, and other land cover components from 2009 to 2020.

Collection Methods

Data was collected using remote sensing. The Level 1 land cover products were derived from the Global Land Service of Copernicus, the Earth Observation program of the European Commission.
