To show how the water balance changes over time across the globe in any pin-pointed location.
The map/app was build to show real time changes in the water balance.
Data contains changes and trends in soil moisture, snowpack, precipitation, evapotranspiration, water run-off and change in storage for any pin-pointed location.
Data used in building the app was obtained from NASA’s Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS-2.1) with aid of satellite imagery. Methods include land surface modelling using weather observations.
