To show the average amount of water vapor in centimeters in a column of atmosphere.

Context

Data covers the period July 2002-October 2021.

What is included

Lowest amounts of water vapor (0 centimeters) appear in white, highest amounts (6 centimeters) appear in dark blue and areas of missing data appearing in shades of gray.

Collection Methods

Data collected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor on NASA's Aqua satellite.
