Dataset
To study and characterize social capital, investigate whether differential social capital influences farm-level soil and water conservation investments and whether there is a link between social capital, resource use and agricultural productivity.
This data was initially collected by Dr. Mwakubo, Dr. Obare, Dr. Omiti, and Dr. Mohammed and made available by the International Food Policy Research Institute under a competitive research grant program organized by IFPRI's 2020 Vision Network for East Africa.
This dataset contains the individuals' responses on their demographic characteristics (gender, age, marital status, name, education level, etc.), basic information about the household (the head of the family, primary male decision-maker, gender of the household head, total members in the home), the type of farming or livestock keeping, water resources routes, assets, and other variables.
This dataset was collected using focused group discussions and a sample survey.
