Dataset Objective

This dataset was collected to compare the economic cost of groundwater pumping for irrigation powered by solar PV and diesel energy.

Context

Data was produced by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and funded by the CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE).

What is included

This dataset contains the following three components: breakeven installed cost calculated under reference diesel fuel price scenario (price escalation rate=2%), breakeven installed cost calculated under high diesel fuel price scenario (price escalation rate=4%), breakeven installed cost calculated under low diesel fuel price scenario (price escalation rate=0).

Collection Methods

This dataset was generated using remote sensing and simulation.
