To assess the impact of commercial vegetable and polyculture fish production on income, household resource allocation, and nutrition in Bangladesh.
The survey was conducted in collaboration with the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Dhaka, Data Analysis and Technical Assistance, and Research Department of Human Nutrition, Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, Copenhagen, Denmark. The project grant was provided by the Office of Women in Development, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA).
This data entails information on households income, the household value of consumed goods, social capital, shock history, credit given and obtained, inheritance/assets at wedding/divorce, family background, health care and birth control use, household sanitation behavior, reproductive history and mortality, nutrition knowledge, food preferences, women's autonomy and decision making, temperature and rainfall.
Data was collected using sample survey.
