Dataset Objective

To provide data on primary health care expenditures in Low- and Middle-Income Country.

Context

This dataset was created to provide a comprehensive overview of how primary health care resources were allocated in LMICs over a significant period. It aims to shed light on trends in spending and resource distribution in primary health care, which is crucial for understanding and improving healthcare systems in these countries.

What is included

Estimates of primary health care expenditures (PHC), PHC expenditures in ambulatory settings and PHC expenditures disaggregated by the System of Health Accounts (SHA) health care function category.

Collection Methods

Dataset is based on household surveys, proprietary data from IQVIA and recently published health expenditure estimates.
