To improve maternal, child health and the quality of health information in the state of Yucatán.
The survey aimed to capture a baseline measure of health-related knowledge and practices among caregivers in 8 municipalities of Yucatán, Mexico. It includes data from a household census and caregiver interviews, addressing health service utilization and knowledge of symptoms.
Dataset entails: antenatal care, child health care, child mortality, diarrhea, education, electricity, employment, health behaviors, health care access, health care, health facility conditions, health insurance, health literacy, health promotion, health status, housing conditions, marital status, health facilities, Sanitation, Skilled birth attendants, Telephones, traditional healers, transportation and water supply.
Household census and caregiver interviewer. Caregivers of children under 5 in 8 municipalities participated in the survey.
