Dataset Objective

To provide health expenditures estimates for 195 countries.

Context

Data covers the period 01/2000 - 12/2017.

What is included

Dataset consists of the following health care expenditures: dental care, emergency care, emergency preparedness, home care, immunization, medical equipment, medicines, preventive interventions, rehabilitation and screening. Estimates are provided by the System of Health Accounts (SHA), healthcare function (HC) and healthcare provider (HP) categories.

Collection Methods

Estimates are created using 1662 country-years and 110,070 data points of health expenditures extracted and compiled from existing National Health Accounts (NHA).
