Dataset Objective

To provide data on under five years mortality detailed by age group.

Context

Data covers the period 195 - 019.

What is included

Data consists of annual estimates for numbers of deaths, mortality rate and probability of death by sex for 6 age groups under 5 years: - days (early neonatal), - 7 days (late neonatal), - months, - 1 months, 1 - 3 months and - years.

Collection Methods

Dataset is based on 28,016 location-years of vital registration data, 481 surveys with complete birth histories and 1081 sources on summary birth histories.
