To assess health facilities and health service provision in Tamil Nadu.
Survey covers the period 2012-2013.
Data consists of health care services offered, expenditure, revenue, personnel by category, equipment, capacity and health facility operations. Patient exit interview contains: transportation to health facility, hours the outpatient services department is operational, health care charges, health facility conditions and the services offered.
Sample survey administered on 168 health care facilities. Data were collected through interviews of health providers, direct observation of facility areas and assisted observation of facility resources.
