To provide baseline data for land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) sector.
This data was collected to support the Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA country) teams in developing and implementing land cover mapping efforts for the Agriculture, Forestry and Land Use (AFOLU) sector as the second scheme.
Data contains forestlands, shrublands, grasslands, water bodies, clouds, shadows, settlements, croplands, wetlands, and other land covers.
Data was collected using satellite images through Landsat Thematic Mapper (Landsat 5) data using the supervised classification method.
