Dataset Objective

To map out land cover/land use for Rusizi National Park, Burundi.

Land use/Land cover classification is based on the Natural Habitat Conservation (NHC) unit of the MESA-IGAD thema.

Data contains: tree cover, tree cover mosaic, other wooded land, bare and burnt, agriculture, water, urban land, other land and swamp.

Satellite imagery and monitoring. Joint Research Centre ImpactToolbox was used for image pre-processing, classification and validation.
