Dataset Objective

To assess the level of disruption to the provision of antenatal care and delivery services for pregnant women.

Context

The survey was designed to measure changes in the delivery of antenatal and delivery services before and immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic’s onset. It aimed to capture the impact of the pandemic on maternal and infant health services in a wide range of countries.

What is included

Survey covers the following topics: abortion, antenatal care, education, employment, ethnicity, family composition, health behaviors, health care access, health care use, health facilities, home care, hospitals, infants, length of stay, live births, maternal care, menstruation, miscarriage, place of delivery, postnatal care, pregnancy, religion, skilled birth attendants and stillbirths.

Collection Methods

Sample survey administered to pregnant women or those who gave birth within the past 6 months at the time of the survey. Data were collected from 2,129 respondents.
