This data was collected to provide information on the plot-level agricultural production and practices, dietary intake of individual household members, anthropometric measurements and women’s empowerment in the agriculture index (WEAI).
This survey was the first round of the Bangladesh Integrated Household Survey (BIHS) conducted by the Data Analysis and Technical Assistance (DATA), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Data was produced and distributed by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). The research funder was the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Data contains individual household demographic characteristics, water and sanitation components, plot-level agricultural production and practices, dietary intake of individual household members, anthropometric measurements, and women’s empowerment in the agriculture index (WEAI).
Data was collected using a sample survey. The unit of analysis were households, individuals and community. The mode and research instrument used to collect the data were an in-person interview and a structured close-ended questionnaire.
