The main objective of this survey was to obtain data on people's livelihoods, their access to and experience of essential services, and their views of governance actors, which will be later used in the subsequent survey to measure changes over time on the same parameters.
This was the first-round survey on Livelihoods, Basic Services, Social Protection and Perceptions of the State in Conflict-affected Situations in 2013, with the second round in 2015. The survey also took place in other countries (DRC, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka)
The data includes the individuals' households components on their access to and experience of essential services and their views of governance actors. These include water (access to water and sanitation services), health, education level, livelihood sources and activities, assets, food security, social protection, crimes and other vital indicators.
This data was obtained through a cross-country households panel survey conducted in Uganda. The overall sample required to achieve the sampling objectives in selected districts in each country ranged from 1,259 to 3,175 households.
