To provide demographic and household data of Cameroon.
This is the third DHS carried out in Cameroon after those of 1991 and 1998.
Characteristics of the survey: fertility levels, sexual activity, fertility preferences, family planning, breastfeeding practices, nutritional status of children, women and children under five, infant mortality, adult mortality, maternal mortality, maternal health, child health. Knowledge, attitudes and behaviors towards AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. Practice of excision, circumcision, the use of mosquito nets and test foe anemia.
National sample survey. Participants are drawn from households, children under 5, women 15-49 and men 15-59 years.
