To provides a historical global reconstruction of bioclimatic indicators.
Data covers the period 1979 to 2018.
Dataset consists of 78 indicators covering bioclimatic variables from both land and marine environments. Main variables are: drought, surface energy, vegetation sensitive, evaporation, marine, essential climate variables and soil. Derived variables consists of: annual maximum, annual maximum of daily mean, annual mean, annual mean of daily maximum, annual mean of daily minimum, annual minimum, annual sum, coldest quarter, driest quarter, end of season, length of season, maximum length, mean intensity, mean length with minimum 5 days, monthly mean, monthly mean of daily maximum, monthly mean of daily minimum, monthly sum, number of occurrences (minimum 5 days), start of season, warmest quarter and wettest quarter.
Data is based on best available observations, remote sensing products, Earth-system modelling and an advanced data assimilation system.
