To provide a platform for mapping demographics, health, socio-economics and WASH data in 16 countries.
This is part of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Partnerships and Learning for Sustainability (WASHPaLS) project a five-year (201 - 021) USAID Task Order. Data covers the period 2016-2020.
Dataset consists of: accessibility i.e. travel time to cities, distance to roads and distance to towns, percentage of population practicing open defecation, percentage of reliance on unimproved sanitation, percentage of reliance on unimproved drinking water, rural typology i.e. rural remote, rural mixed, urban and rural on-road, settlements/communities, women's educational attainment age, men's educational attainment age, population estimate, diarrhea prevalence in children under five and mortality in children under five.
Satellite imagery, sample survey and monitoring data based on: Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) estimations were created with various data sources including the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) and UNICEF Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) series, and other country?specific surveys, Infectious Disease Dynamics and World Pop.
