To examine ways of increasing the uptake and usage of safe sanitation and to provide evidence on the links between improved sanitation and health insurance.
This a baseline survey, endline survey is planned that will follow the same households.
The process included information on socio-economic and welfare characteristics of household members, self-reported open defecation ,access to sanitation facilities, and prevalence of disease.
