Dataset Objective

The data was created to illustrate the different types of wastes composed in the household waste stream in Buala town in 2014.

Context

The data was collected as an action plan to prevent plastic waste from entering the ocean.

What is included

The dataset contains the total percentage weight of waste grouped in 16 categories (vegetables/Putrescibles, Papers/Cardboards, textile, plastics, PET Bottles, grass/leaves/wood, Al Cans, metals, glass/Ceramics, electrical fittings, betel-nut, tin, cigarette butt, battery, shells and miscellaneous)

Collection Methods

The data was collected using a households sample survey.
