Dataset
To provide data on water, sanitation and hygiene practices in Bomet County, Kenya.
The dataset shows the various hand washing practices in Bomet County. A significant number of the care givers reported to wash their hands with soap and water at 86.6% during the critical times followed by those who reported to use only water at 10.6%
Dataset contains: handwashing practices i.e. handwashing with soap, soap and water, soap when affordable, traditional herbs, handwashing attitude, knowledge on at least three critical times for hand washing, information on disposal of faeces and concerns raised regarding use of WASH facilities i.e. dissatisfaction with water supply, concern raised, queue for water, sharing toilet facility and handwashing times. The critical times for hand washing include, after visiting the toilet, before eating and before cooking.
Sample survey administered on 800 households.
