Dataset Objective

To show the level of water stress for different countries.

Context

It covers the period of 2000 to 2018. This dataset is part of the Global SDG Indicator database compiled through the UN System in preparation for the Secretary-General's annual report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

What is included

This dataset contains the sustainable development goal code, goal label, description, target code, target description, global locations, geographic area name and code, parent geographic area name, geographic area type, earliest and latest years, available years, and the proportion of freshwater withdrawal of available freshwater resources for different nations.

Data was collected through monitoring and remote sensing.
