To understand the importance of a new deep aquifer pumping regime in the groundwater system in a developing country, Kwale, Kenya.
This project was funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) as part of the Gro for GooD project and data deposited by the University of Oxford.
This dataset contains the compositions of major water chemistry and geology components from the sampled groundwater and surface water in Kwale, Kenya. These components include major ions, stable isotopes, selected trace constituents, electrical conductivity, nitrates, ammonia, pH, DO (Dissolved Oxygen), Eh (oxidation/reduction potential), Temperature, TOC (Total Organic Carbon) and field alkalinity. The geology at each location was recorded: P - Pliocene Sands, Pls - Pleistocene Sands, Plc - Pleistocene corals.
Data was collected through sample water quality analysis (laboratory analysis)
