Dataset Objective

To provide data on open defecation and basic sanitation facilities constructed under Swachh Bharat Mission in India.

What is included

The dataset contains state/union territory, numbers of individual household latrines constructed, numbers of community/public toilets constructed, numbers of towns declared open defecation free, and funds released by the Central Government for toilets.

Collection Methods

Sample survey and monitoring based on Get questions' Answers Data of Session 247 of Rajya Sabha obtained from various ministries/departments.
