Dataset Objective

To provide gridded population estimates of South Sudan by different age-groups and sex.

Context

These results were produced using publicly available census projections from the South Sudan National Bureau of Statistics and displacement data from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR)

What is included

Dataset contains: total population size, non-internally displaced persons, internally displaced persons and population estimates by age-sex group.

Collection Methods

Dataset is based on satellite imagery, publicly available census projections from the South Sudan National Bureau of Statistics and displacement data from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
