Context

Data produced by the Columbia University Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) in collaboration with the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED). Data collected in 1990, 1995, and 2000.

What is included

This dataset contains country, region, continent, income class, GDP, population, land area, urban mask and landlock areas.

Collection Methods

The LECZ Delta v1.1 dataset is produced by overlaying coastal delta boundaries with low-elevation coastal zone (LECZ) grids and population/urban classification layers to generate global estimates of population and land area in delta portions of the LECZ, separated into urban and rural classes
