To provide a raster representation of nation-states in Gridded Population of the World (GPW) for use in aggregating population data.
Dataset was produced from the input census Units, which were used to create a raster surface where pixels that cover the same census data source (most often a country or territory) have the same value.
This dataset contains: country or territory name, continent name, administrative level (1,2,3,4,5 &6), number of units, population estimate, population year, sex variable, age variable, and growth rate.
