Dataset Objective

To provide estimates of continental runoff into the world’s oceans.

The dataset was collected to provide estimates using two combined methodologies as opposed to previous methods.

The dataset contains runoff estimates to the oceans for all river outlets globally, ranging from 1950-2008.

The dataset was collected using a simulated topological network and a combination of observations from 839 river gauging stations.
