To show amount of rainfall measured in millimeters around the world.
Data covers the period 1998-2016.
Data consists of dark blue areas showing where a lot of rain has fallen and pale green to turquoise indicating increasing amounts of rainfall. Dataset contains measurements from areas near the equator and not at high latitudes, nor in Earth's polar regions.
Data were obtained using the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) .image(.png, .jpg), .image(.png, .jpg)r and Precipitation Radar instruments.
