Dataset Objective

To provide climate and rainfall season data for the Greater Horn of Africa.

Context

Data is based on Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum. Scope of this study is: Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

What is included

Dataset consists of zones and rainfall season categorized as: above normal, near normal, climatology and below normal.

Collection Methods

In-situ observations from meteorological weather stations.
