In addition to a structured methodology, the guidance document provides international country-level and U.S. subnational-level water use factors detailing grid average water withdrawal and consumption resulting from electricity consumption.
This dataset contains total annual embedded water withdrawals, total annual embedded water consumption, embedded water withdrawals and consumption disaggregated by country, avoided water withdrawals and consumption estimation, electricity generating technology and embedded water use calculated by other methods.
Data from utility bills or meters within the inventory boundaries, measured in megawatt hours (MWh) or kilowatt hours (kWh), and metered electricity consumption or utility bills.
