To assess the characteristics of the Yellow river basin.
The Yellow River stretches 3,350 mi (5,400 km) through nine provinces in Northern China. Frequent flooding and droughts make water management on the Yellow a challenge.
The study comprises baseline water stress, interannually variability, seasonal variability, flood occurrence, drought severity, upstream storage, return flow ratio, dissolved oxygen, upstream protected land, access to water, field id, country name, catchment name, total withdrawal in m3, available blue water in m3 and total blue water in m3.
