Dataset Objective

To identify wetland extents distributions and important wetland complexes.

Context

For GLWD-3, the polygons of GLWD-1 and GLWD-2 were combined with additional information on the maximum extents and types of wetlands.

What is included

This database examines name of reservoir, lake or wetland type(dam, river,lake), surface area in km2, inflow into the lake, sources of reservoirs, location of the feature, height of dam, purpose of reservoir, large lakes and reservoirs, smaller water bodies, wetlands.and name of the feature.
